When the bride and groom have chosen their resort, a block of rooms is guaranteed for their guests. Upon this contractual agreement with the resort, the couple earns certain amenities for their wedding. Rooms booked outside this agreement do not count towards any concessions for the couple.
When you book with Way To Go your party is on the final guest list at the resort. If you are not on this list you will have to pay a resort fee to gain entrance to the event.
We negotiate with resorts to get the best pricing for guests and preferred group amenities.
Way To Go can organize and safely plan round trip airport transportation and excursions if you have already planned your air travel.
If you want to extend your stay or change hotels after the blocked dates we can arrange that as well.
How do I book my trip?
Generally most couples have a Wedding Website or Facebook page which will have all of the wedding and resort information. To book your room you can contact Way To Go Travel via phone or email: 512-962-6331 or 713-467-2262 or waytogotracey@yahoo.com The most important thing to remember is to make your payment on time so the bride and groom will have their final count on time to meet their contractual obligation to the resort.
What if I/we cannot afford to attend?
The bride and groom will understand that some guests will not be able to attend their destination wedding. First and foremost let them know so they can adjust their rooms and or list. Some couples will have a reception some time after they return home for those that could not attend, especially if they are having a small, intimate wedding.
Other destination wedding etiquette
Check with the bride and groom for their dress attire. Most wedding will be "dressy beach wear" but depending on the event formal wear or theme attire might be required.
As with any wedding destination or traditional not everything may go as perfectly planned. If you have issues with the resort or room please ask for assistance from the resort staff or the wedding coordinator. Please refrain from complaining to the bride, groom, wedding party or other wedding guests. As a rule of thumb use politeness and tact at such a special event so everyone can enjoy their vacation.
Most couples forgo expecting wedding gifts at a destination wedding. Your presence is their present. Some couples will have an online registry or fund to help towards their wedding/honeymoon expenses. Check with the bride and groom or someone from the wedding party for details.
